What we do with your details
Five fields, kept in an email inbox, used to give you a price and arrange a visit. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with advertisers, and this site sets no cookies.

Who is responsible for it
This website is operated by Fixr Systems Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15889598, trading as East Cambs Oven Cleaning. We are the data controller for anything you send through this site. You can reach us through the form on the contact page.
Fixr Systems Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZC261004.
What we collect, and nothing else
The enquiry form asks for five things: your name, a phone number, an email address, your postcode, and what you need cleaning, in your own words. That is the lot. The message we receive also notes which page of this site the form was on, and nothing else about your visit. There is no account to create, no password, no address line and no payment details taken anywhere on this site.
If you go on to book, we will end up knowing your address because somebody has to come to it, and what we did on the day so the invoice makes sense.
One job collects more than that, and it is the only one. The end of tenancy pack includes dated photographs of the oven, the hob and the extractor, taken so the work can be evidenced at a checkout. Those photographs go to whoever is paying for the job, which is usually the landlord or the letting agent, because that is the whole purpose of taking them. They are of the appliances and the kitchen, not of anybody in the property.
Why we have it, and what we do with it
To reply with a price, arrange a time and do the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and once a job is done, our legal obligation to keep records for tax.
An enquiry is turned into an email and sent to one inbox, where it stays. It is not added to a mailing list, it is not sold, it is not passed to advertisers and it is not used to send you anything you did not ask for. If somebody else ends up doing the work for us, they get what they need to turn up and do it, and no more.
One company handles it on the way. We use Resend to send that email, so what you type in the form passes through them to reach us. They are an email provider and they do not use it for anything of their own. Nothing else on this site sends your details anywhere.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
This site sets no cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it records that a page was viewed, from roughly where and on what kind of device, and stores nothing at all on your machine and nothing that identifies you. We also run our own simple visit counter: while a page is open it notes how long it was on screen, how far down it was scrolled, which links and buttons were clicked and how far the enquiry form got, never what you typed. It stores nothing on your device. Our server turns your internet address and browser into a visit code with a secret that changes every day and is then deleted, so the code cannot be traced back to you or linked to another day, and your internet address is not kept. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, it does not run. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no recording of your screen, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
One thing is worth stating plainly, because it is the only point where anything about your visit reaches somebody else. The coverage map on the area pages loads its tiles from OpenStreetMap, so when it loads, OpenStreetMap sees the request and with it your IP address, the same as any image loaded from another site would. We receive nothing from that, and the map only loads if you scroll to it. Everything else on this site, including the typefaces, is served from our own domain.
Where it is kept, and for how long
In our email inbox, and in our own enquiry records, a database we run on Cloudflare in Western Europe, so an enquiry cannot be lost with an email. In both places, an enquiry that does not turn into work is deleted after twelve months. Twelve rather than a shorter number for one honest reason: an oven gets cleaned about once a year, so somebody who asked in the spring and did not book often asks again the following spring, and it is better for both of us if we still know what we quoted. After that it is of no use to anybody and it goes.
Records of work we have actually done are kept for six years, because that is how long company records have to be kept for tax.
The email passes through Resend on its way to us, and Resend is an American company. This is the part most sites leave out, so we will say it plainly: what you type reaches our inbox, and a record of that message also sits with Resend in the United States.
We looked at whether that could be avoided. Resend let you choose which region their servers send from, Ireland among them, but their own documentation is clear that the choice moves only where the mail is dispatched and not where they keep their records: the account data, the log of the message and its details, stays in the US whichever region is picked. So we are not going to tell you your details stay in Europe, because they would not.
If you would rather nothing left the country at all, say so in the form and we will take your details another way, or ring us once a number is on this page.
What you can ask us to do
Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless it is part of a record we have to keep for tax, in which case we will say so and delete the rest.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, which is the UK regulator for this.
Changes to this page
If the site starts doing something new with data, this page changes at the same time rather than afterwards, and the date at the top changes with it.

- Cloudflare Web Analytics, the product page's privacy statementsCloudflare · read 26 September 2026The two claims /privacy/ makes about the analytics, which are claims about somebody else's software and so needed reading rather than assuming. Cloudflare: "Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics", and "We also don't 'fingerprint' individuals via their IP address, User Agent string, or any other data for the purpose of displaying analytics." That is what keeps the page's existing "this site sets no cookies" line TRUE once a beacon ships, which is the whole reason it was checked first. The docs at developers.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/about/ add that it "does not collect or use your visitors' personal data" and that the beacon "collects metrics using the Performance API", but they do NOT mention cookies, so the cookie claim rests on this page and not on that one.
