How much do oven cleaners near me charge?
We went and looked rather than guessing. Reading the published price lists of 11 oven cleaners working this patch on 12 September 2026, a single oven runs £60 to £80 round here and a double £70 to £100. Ours are £75 and £90, both inside that, and ours is the one you can read before you get in touch. Another 3 of the 11 publish no price at all, so with those you find out what it costs after somebody has been to look at it.
Are you the cheapest oven cleaner in the area?
No, and the cheapest quote and the cheapest job are rarely the same number. We are a mobile round, so the oven is cleaned in your kitchen with nothing taken away, and the price already has the racks, the inside of the door glass and the travel inside 12 miles in it. It is fixed in writing before we arrive and it does not move on the day, so the number you are quoted is the number you pay. A lower number that grows once somebody is standing in your kitchen, or that leaves the inside of the glass brown, has cost you more.
How do I pay, and when?
When the work is finished and you have seen it, by cash or bank transfer. There is no deposit, nothing is taken up front, and nothing is charged if we cannot get in. The number you were quoted is the number you pay: no VAT, no call out fee, and the minimum on a visit with no oven in it is £70.
Why is a double oven more than a single?
There are two cavities, two doors and two sets of door glass to take apart and put back, so it is about half as long again on the day. That is the difference between £75 and £90. A grill in its own compartment counts as a double, even where the oven below it is a single.
Do you charge more if the oven is really dirty?
No. The appliance sets the price, not the state of it. A neglected oven takes us longer and that is our problem, not yours. The only thing that changes a quote is an appliance you did not mention when you asked.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, £70. One small item on its own does not cover the visit, so if the job comes to less than £70 then £70 is what it costs. Alongside an oven clean the cheaper add on price applies and the minimum never comes into it.
Are your oven cleaning prices the same in every village?
Yes. The price list is the same in Ely, Soham, Newmarket and every village in between. Travel is free within 12 miles of Burwell, and past that ring it is a flat £10 which we tell you before you book, not after.
Can you give me a price without seeing the oven?
Yes, and we do it that way for almost every job. Tell us the make and whether it is a single, a double, a range or an AGA, and you get the real number back. Photos only help for three and four door AGAs and anything wider than 90cm, where the size decides the price.

What has changed, and when
A date at the bottom of a price list is worth nothing on its own, so here is what sits behind ours. Every review is written down whether or not a price moved.
- 24 September 2026Prices raised, on Ben's instruction, after the eleven price lists were turned into a dataset and showed where we actually sat. At £70 the single oven was joint sixth of nine against the eight operators who publish one, with only Clear Price of Huntingdon dearer, but it was under Checkatrade's £74 Cambridgeshire average. The three businesses publishing no price at all are franchises, so the visible list is the cheap end of the market. Single £70 to £75, double £85 to £90, wide single £90 to £95, combi £95 to £100, range £120 to £125, wide range £145 to £150, AGA £140 to £145, barbecue £80 to £85, minimum £65 to £70, and the packages moved with them so each still saves £15. Every add-on held exactly where it was: the 90cm extractor is already £40 against a market maximum of £35, and add-ons are what people price-check hardest.
