A small oven cleaning round, run out of Burwell

East Cambs Oven Cleaning is a trading name of Fixr Systems Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 15889598, working out of Burwell, Cambridgeshire. Ovens, cookers, hobs, extractors, range cookers and AGAs, cleaned by hand for households and landlords across East Cambridgeshire and west Suffolk.

Who does the work

Geena, who does the cleaning. One person doing the job by hand, in your kitchen, at a price fixed before the van sets off. Not a franchise, not a call centre booking somebody else, and not a domestic cleaning company that does ovens on the side.

Ben Criddle is the owner, and is accountable for the prices and for what this site says.

Where we work

From Burwell, Cambridgeshire, which is where every distance on this site is measured from. That covers 31 villages and towns across East Cambridgeshire and west Suffolk, from Ely and Soham through Newmarket and Burwell to Mildenhall and Bury St Edmunds, and into Cambridge.

Travel is free inside 12 miles of Burwell and a flat £10 beyond it, said before you book rather than added afterwards. Every place we come to is listed with its distance, so you can see which side of that line you are on before anybody quotes you.

What £70 actually buys

The same thing on every oven, whether it was done last spring or has never been touched. The appliance sets the price and the state of it never does.

Racks, runners, trays and the grill pan soaked rather than scoured
Catalytic liners checked before anything goes near them, and cleaned by hand where they are there
A blown bulb replaced, and the seal channel done before the base so nothing runs onto finished work
One price, fixed in writing before we set off, with no VAT and no call out fee

Why the prices are on the site at all

Because almost nobody else round here puts them up. Before setting ours we read the published price lists of 11 oven cleaning businesses covering this patch, on 12 September 2026. Three of them publish no price at all, and the rest run £60 to £80 for a single oven against our £70.

So the number on this site is not a starting point, a guide price or a from price. It is the price, it includes the racks and the door and the bulb, and it does not move because the oven turned out to be worse than you said.

What is different about us

We publish every price. Of the 11 local price lists we read on 12 September 2026, three publish no price at all.
We quote without visiting, and the number is fixed in writing before we set off.
We charge by the appliance, never by how dirty it is, so waiting never costs you more.
We take the door apart where it splits, which is the part of a clean people actually judge.
We check for catalytic liners before anything goes near an oven, because caustic cleaner destroys them.
We charge nothing if we arrive and cannot get in.

What we will not take on

Worth knowing before you ring, and cheaper for both of us than finding out on the day.

We do not service appliances
Burners, thermostats, flues and anything gas or oil belong to a qualified engineer. If yours needs both, have it serviced first and cleaned afterwards.
We do not clean the rest of the house
Appliances only. Book a domestic cleaner for the property and us for the kitchen appliances, and tell each of us the date you need it by.
We do not do extraction ductwork
Canopies, filters and the appliances themselves, yes. Ducting inside a wall or ceiling is a different trade with its own certification.
We do not guess at what will not come back
A pitted base, crazed glass or enamel that has already been scoured is told to you before we start rather than explained afterwards.
